Empower People To Transition Into Homeownership
Greetings From PullingEight Inc
What?
PullingEight, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization primarily geared towards, but not limited to, assisting Section 8 Housing Voucher recipients and low-to-moderate-income households with full real estate and home ownership education. We serve as an advocate in real estate laws and housing discrimination practices within the industry.
Mission
Our mission is to empower Section 8 recipients and low-to-moderate-income families with the necessary tools and training needed to obtain stable living, while preventing discriminatory housing practices.
Why?
PullingEight, Inc. will help Section 8 recipients seeking real estate knowledge and/or representation. By creating a network of qualified real estate professionals with fair housing experience. The goal is to assist households in securing housing through:
-
Educating Section 8 Housing seekers
-
Work with the Housing Authority Betterment services
-
Provide training for home ownership
-
Provide training to families for self-sufficiency opportunities
-
Educate real estate salespeople and brokers on Section 8 and low- income criteria
Who?
To serve voucher recipients under Section 8 throughout the housing system. Section 8 housing seekers face rampant discrimination while looking for housing in a short window of time before their voucher expires.
As a result of their housing status, Section 8 recipients face daily overt and subtle forms of discrimination in seeking employment, transportation, medical care, homeownership, and countless other opportunities. PullingEight, Inc. intends to assist them in their housing needs as an advocate in the sometimes volatile real estate industry.
Where?
PullingEight, Inc. will work in collaboration with housing authorities in assisting their recipients with the real estate knowledge and tools throughout Massachusetts and across state lines. The ultimate goal is to educate recipients on the value of financial sustainability and independence with homeownership.
