Job Title: Journalist Internship
Hours: Part-Time (1 article per month)
Location: Remote
About Us: PullingEight, Inc. is a 501©(3) non-profit community advocacy and homeownership organization that encourages, educates, and empowers Section 8 recipients and low-to-moderate income families on their journey towards homeownership. Our team offers an unparalleled support system of real estate experts who will help families handle time pressures, make informed decisions, and find new opportunities.
Job Description: The PullingEight team is seeking motivated interns who are interested in conducting interviews and writing community advocacy style publications. As a housing advocate organization, we pride ourselves in being the voice for those oppressed in various parts of low-to-moderate income housing sectors ranging from renters, housing agencies, landlords, home buying, etc.. Interns will be responsible for conducting interviews and transforming the stories from the members of the community into blog posts and articles.
Qualifications

College junior or senior with 3.0 GPA or above

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Excellent writing skills

Extreme attention to detail

Possess high interviewing skill sets and ability to research topics in-depth

A self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines

Previous writing experience highly preferred but not necessary
